A CRIPPLED BOY'S PRAYER - International Disability Day

A CRIPPLED BOY'S PRAYER

A little boy sat all alone in a wheelchair
He was watching all the other kid's run and play
On his face I saw a look far and distant
With trembling voice I heard this little boy say

They say you must be born again to enter heaven
Walk the straight and narrow way on this earth
I don't seem to understand all the reasons
I've never walked since the day of my birth

Will I be a Crippled Boy in Heaven?
Will my wings refuse to sail through the air
Lord I know the way I am is for a reason
But will I be a crippled boy up there

His eyes were closed
His little face turned toward heaven
Will my life there be the same
I heard him say
Through tears of joy his face lit up
And I knew he had found the answer

He turned to me
And then I heard him say

I won't be a crippled boy in heaven
I know my wings will sail through the air
I can and run and play with
All the children
I won't be a crippled boy up there

I won't be a crippled boy in Heaven
I know my wings will sail through the air
I can run and play with
All the other children

There will be no crippled boys up there

We are all crippled one way or another and we will only be whole when we meet Jesus none of us will be crippled in Heaven. We all have hope in Jesus
